Explosion Rocks Moscow Center: Casualties and Ongoing Investigations

Three people have been killed and fifteen others injured following an explosion on Saturday evening near a summer café at Kudrinskaya Square in the heart of Moscow, the Russian Interior Ministry's main directorate in the capital announced.


Authorities reported that the explosion occurred at approximately 8:10 PM local time. Investigation teams from the Interior Ministry, alongside emergency services, swiftly responded and commenced their efforts at the site.


The vicinity of the explosion witnessed a heavy presence of police and ambulance vehicles, as specialized units continued to secure the area and gather evidence to determine the circumstances surrounding the incident.


The Russian Investigative Committee confirmed that the process of identifying victims is still ongoing. No official cause or nature of the explosion has been determined as investigations persist to unravel the details of the incident.


As of now, Russian authorities have not released further information about the identities of the victims or whether the explosion was a result of criminal activity or an accidental event.
