The Houthi group has intensified its military operations both within Yemen and across borders, striking the city of Mocha and its strategic port with six ballistic missiles while increasing drone activity. Concurrently, the group claimed to have targeted an Aramco facility in Najran, southwestern Saudi Arabia.
Yemeni sources informed Sky News Arabia that the attack on Mocha resulted in the death of eight people, including six civilians working at the port, along with injuries among other civilians. Material damage occurred in the area, causing panic among residents.
The Houthi military spokesperson, Yahya Saree, admitted to the attack on Mocha, stating that the strikes targeted forces, weapons, and warboats. Independent verification of his claims about the nature of the targets or the losses from the attack was not possible.
Mocha holds strategic significance due to its location on Yemen's western coast near the Bab al-Mandeb Strait, one of the key maritime routes for international trade and shipping between the Red Sea and the Gulf of Aden.
In tandem with the internal Yemeni attack, the Houthis announced a drone strike aimed at an Aramco facility in Najran, southwestern Saudi Arabia, claiming the drone hit its target.

The escalation has also extended to the Red Sea, with Yemeni naval forces and coast guards announcing the destruction of three Houthi boats laden with explosives, which were reportedly prepared for offensive operations.
According to Yemeni forces, one of the boats carried equipment intended to launch drones, indicating the group's continued use of multiple offensive means, combining ballistic missiles, drones, and explosive boats.
These developments come amid concerns about the potential widening of the escalation's scope, particularly with simultaneous attacks on sites within Yemen and the declaration of targeting a facility in Saudi territory, continuing military activities in the Red Sea, placing multiple land, sea, and cross-border fronts under increased pressure.
