Lebanese President General Joseph Aoun has received a formal invitation from French President Emmanuel Macron, delivered by French chargé d'affaires in Lebanon, Bruno Da Silva. The message invites Lebanon to participate in a preparatory meeting set to take place in Paris on September 17.
This meeting serves as a precursor to an international conference dedicated to supporting the Lebanese Armed Forces and Internal Security Forces. It is part of international efforts aimed at strengthening the capabilities of Lebanon's military and security institutions.
According to the Lebanese Presidency, military delegations and experts from various countries are expected to attend the preparatory meeting, where necessary preparations for the international conference and mechanisms for supporting the Lebanese army and security forces will be discussed.
