The United Nations Interim Force in Lebanon (UNIFIL) has handed over its position located near the Lebanese Army center in the Khraydeh-Litani region to the Lebanese Army's Seventh Brigade.
The transfer is part of a plan to shift several UNIFIL sites to the Lebanese Army, following the UN Security Council's decision to conclude the international forces' mission in Lebanon by the end of this year.
The handover is part of ongoing operational measures to strengthen the deployment of the Lebanese Army and its takeover of military sites previously occupied by international forces.
