Saudi activist Rahaf al-Qunun has denied rumors circulating on social media that she is going through difficult and harsh days following her announcement of separation from her daughter's Congolese father, Lufulu Randi. She claimed that she has become sexually confused and does not know her attraction to women or men. Al-Qunun told her followers that she has not lost anything and that her experience was merely a transition replaced by something better.
In a message shared through Instagram Stories, al-Qunun stated that what she has lost in life is replaced by something better. She wrote, "The best thing in life is that everything I have lost has been replaced by something better... I never lose; it is just a transition." Her comments sparked widespread discussion on social media, with some interpreting them as a sign that she might have found what she was looking for—a "girlfriend," after she recently admitted to seeking a romantic relationship post-separation. Others thought her message indicated that she is still confused and has not yet settled on her feelings.
Rahaf al-Qunun acknowledged that she is looking for a "girlfriend," pointing out that some people have been comforting her since announcing her split from her child's father, mistakenly believing she was sad over losing her partner, while forgetting that she has left her family behind. She wrote on her Snapchat account, "When people think I'm sad because I left boyfriend number twenty, forgetting that I was able to leave my family." She added, "I'm shy to admit it, but I am actually looking for a girlfriend."
It is noteworthy that al-Qunun recently deleted all photos of herself with her daughter's father, Lufulu Randi, from her official Instagram account. He reacted similarly, and there are no longer any photos related to their relationship on either of their accounts, despite the apparent harmony during their time together.
