New Japanese Tea Improves Skin and Internal Health

The Australian brand X50 has launched matcha tea sourced from the Uji region in Kyoto, Japan. This tea is sweet and nutrient-rich, containing 50% less caffeine than coffee. Matcha tea has the ability to reduce bloating, skin inflammation, and dark circles under the eyes due to its high vitamin K content, which enhances circulation. According to X50, the vibrant green color of the tea is attributed to the high amount of chlorophyll essential for photosynthesis, the chemical reaction that transforms sunlight into energy. It protects the skin from sun damage and reduces aging, meaning fewer wrinkles and sun spots. Chlorophyll also shields the skin from impurities and chemicals in the environment that can clog pores.

The tea is also rich in antioxidants that promote skin health, making it softer and more supple due to its ability to regenerate skin cells and support skin structure. Studies have shown that drinking matcha boosts resting metabolic rate and increases the rate at which we burn fat, assisting in burning up to 25% more fat during exercise. Matcha tea has also been proven to reduce inflammation, enhance the immune system, and lower cholesterol levels. To prepare the tea, simply add one to two teaspoons of matcha tea to a bowl or teacup, add between 75 to 150 ml of hot water, and whisk the mixture well until frothy, as reported by the Daily Mail.
