Today, the UAE sent 960 tons of urgent medical and food supplies to alleviate the humanitarian impact on about 20,000 families in the Gaza Strip, through its humanitarian arm, the Emirates Red Crescent Authority. The UAE organized 33 shipments via the Rafah crossing, in line with the directives of the wise UAE leadership, as part of the humanitarian and relief programs provided by the UAE to the brotherly Palestinian people, at a time when a large segment of the population is suffering from difficult humanitarian conditions and lacks essential needs for food, medicine, clothing, and basic building materials. The UAE continually seeks to provide all possible support to enhance the humanitarian response to assist Palestinian brethren in such circumstances, which require solidarity from everyone to overcome their harsh impacts on communities, especially among women and children. The UAE closely monitors the developments in the humanitarian situation in Gaza, and in January alone, 808 tons of urgent relief supplies were sent through 29 trucks that also entered via the Rafah crossing, amounting to 9 million dirhams, to support 10,000 families and meet the basic needs of Palestinian citizens to improve their living conditions.
