Marriage Halted in an Arab Country for a Week

The National Bar Association of Morocco (legal documentation) announced the start of a work strike to demand amendments to a provision of a law enacted 15 years ago aimed at improving their working conditions. The strike will begin on July 1 and will last for a week across the country, according to the "Morocco 24" website. The association calls on the Ministry of Justice to respond to its demands for amending the law regulating the profession in line with current developments. During the strike, no marriage contracts will be drafted in Morocco, and no other contracts will be issued, including real estate and commercial transactions, as well as personal matters and inheritance. The notaries' strike in Morocco coincides with the summer vacation when there is typically a high demand for marriage.
