The German Health Center stated that cucumber offers numerous health benefits due to its high water content, vitamins, and minerals. The center explained that cucumber consists of up to 97% water and is rich in minerals such as sodium, calcium, potassium, magnesium, and iron, as well as vitamins like A, B, C, and E.
Thanks to these elements, cucumber acts as a diuretic, helping to eliminate fluid retention in the body, making it a friend to the kidneys and bladder.
Additionally, cucumber aids in maintaining slimness due to its low calorie content, with 100 grams containing only 12 calories. It is also rich in dietary fiber, which promotes a feeling of fullness for a long time and activates bowel movement, thus combating constipation.
To benefit from these advantages, it is advisable to eat cucumber with the skin on, as most of the important nutrients are found in the peel.
