Ronaldo to the Theatre of Dreams

The English club Manchester United announced on Friday evening the signing of Portuguese star Cristiano Ronaldo from Juventus. Manchester United stated in an official statement: "The club is pleased to announce that it has reached an agreement with Juventus regarding the transfer of Cristiano Ronaldo, pending an agreement with the player on personal terms, obtaining a work permit, and undergoing a medical examination." The statement added: "Cristiano has won the Ballon d'Or 5 times and has claimed over 30 major titles during his career, including five UEFA Champions League titles, four FIFA Club World Cup titles, and seven league titles in England, Spain, and Italy, as well as the Euros with the Portuguese national team." It concluded: "During his first spell at Manchester United, Ronaldo scored 118 goals in 292 matches, and everyone at the club looks forward to welcoming Cristiano back."
