China Rejects U.S. Politicization of COVID Origin Issue

The Chinese embassy in Washington accused U.S. intelligence agencies of "political manipulation" following a report that accused Beijing of withholding crucial information regarding the source of the COVID pandemic. The embassy stated in a press release that "the U.S. intelligence report reveals that the United States is determined to follow the wrong path of political manipulation," considering that "the intelligence report is based on the assumption that China is guilty, and this is merely to make China a scapegoat."
