Lebanon's Caretaker Prime Minister Emphasizes Strong Relations with Saudi Arabia and Gulf Countries

The following statement was issued by the media office at the Lebanese Prime Ministry: "President Hassan Diab made a phone call to the Minister of Foreign Affairs in the caretaker government, Ambassador Charbel Wehbe, to clarify the context of his recent statements. President Diab emphasized his commitment to maintaining the best relations with the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and Gulf countries, as well as all brotherly and friendly nations, and to not harm those relationships, particularly since these nations have always stood by Lebanon. He expressed confidence that they would not abandon Lebanon today. President Diab called for moving past recent events and returning to the best relations with brothers and friends."
