American media reported on Friday that at least two people were killed in a shooting incident in Prince George's County, Maryland. The county police stated that the victims died instantly due to gunfire at a large residential complex on Friday morning. The U.S. media outlet ABC News quoted police saying that one suspect had been arrested, adding that "the threat is no longer present." An eyewitness told ABC News, "We heard gunshots... then we saw someone raise their hand and shoot twice, so I ran." The motives of the shooter are still unknown. Recently, Prince George's County has seen a sharp increase in homicides, surpassing 100 crimes.
