Lebanon's President Pledges to Hold Responsible Parties Accountable for Violence in Beirut

Lebanese President Michel Aoun stated in a televised speech that the violence in Beirut on Thursday is "unacceptable," pledging to hold those responsible and instigators accountable. Aoun emphasized, "We will not allow anyone to take Lebanon hostage for their personal interests... and we will not permit what happened today to recur under any circumstance." He noted that the gunfire, which resulted in at least six fatalities and dozens of injuries, will be subject to security and judicial follow-up.
