The army command – Directorate of Guidance denied what was reported by a local newspaper that the army introduced a new modification to its proposal regarding the indirect technical negotiations for maritime border demarcation, by adding a new boundary line named "Qana Line." The statement said: "The army command wishes to completely deny the validity of this news and confirms that the negotiating delegation continues its mission in the indirect technical negotiations in full coordination with the relevant official authorities based on the study prepared at the army command, which was presented during negotiation sessions in accordance with international law, established on scientifically and legally proven foundations as per the evidence and studies prepared by the Hydrography Department of the army." The army command urged the media to ensure accuracy when reporting news related to the military institution and to verify information with them before publishing.
