Former U.S. President Donald Trump is no longer wealthy enough to be included on Forbes magazine's list of the 400 richest Americans. Trump's current net worth is estimated at about $2.5 billion, placing him $400 million below the threshold for inclusion on this year's list, the magazine reported on Tuesday. Last year, Trump ranked 339th, but Forbes stated he did not make any of the top 400 spots this year, as his wealth decreased by $600 million since the beginning of the pandemic. According to Forbes, technology stocks, cryptocurrencies, and other assets thrived during the COVID era. The magazine noted, "However, properties in major cities, which make up the bulk of Trump’s wealth, have weakened, removing the former president from the country's most exclusive club." Trump had been included in the list every year since 1996, starting at position 368. From 1997 to 2016, the year he was elected, he found himself in the upper half of the list. However, he began his decline in 2016, and since then, Trump has continued to fall in rank, culminating in his complete removal from the list now.
