The Explosives Disposal Directorate announced today, Monday, the neutralization of two explosive devices intended to target electricity transmission towers in Salahuddin. The directorate stated in a statement that "after receiving a call to the explosives experts in Salahuddin province reporting the presence of suspicious objects in the village of Al-Salam within the district of Tikrit, a specialized team was formed and dispatched to the scene." It indicated that "upon inspection, two locally-made adhesive bombs targeting the electricity transmission towers were neutralized according to standard procedures."
