Argentine Lionel Messi revealed his thoughts regarding the candidates for this year's Champions League title. In an interview with "France Football," Messi said: "Everyone thinks that Paris Saint-Germain will win the Champions League, but there are other teams." He added: "There are Chelsea, Manchester City, Manchester United, Real Madrid, Bayern Munich, and Inter Milan who are performing well."
Speaking about his team, Paris Saint-Germain, Messi clarified that there are good players, but they need to unify and play as a team. He continued: "We have some wonderful individual players, but we still need to get to know each other well to form a special team capable of winning titles."
Messi explained: "This is what makes me say that we are a step behind all these clubs that have more experience playing collectively than we do." He went on to say: "The club has been working towards this goal for a few years, and now we are getting closer to it," as reported by the Spanish newspaper "Marca."
Messi concluded his remarks by saying: "I would like to win the Champions League, just as I used to say when I was at Barcelona. It's a fantastic competition, and it's extremely difficult to win, but I believe this group of players at PSG has the tools to win this title."
