On Wednesday, sources from the Egyptian Civil Aviation Authority revealed the nationality of the crew of the private plane featured in a video shared by artist Mohamed Ramadan on his personal social media accounts. They clarified that the flight attendants, who appeared dancing with him, are German and not Egyptian, affiliated with a German airline.
They pointed out that the Civil Aviation Authority has no jurisdiction over them, as they do not fall under the Egyptian Civil Aviation Authority’s regulations, and the authority has no right to intervene, even if the plane is within Egyptian airspace.
The sources denied any association of the flight attendants with a national airline, emphasizing that Egyptian flight crews uphold professional and ethical responsibilities, as their work is primarily humanitarian. Their roles are internationally defined, focusing on serving passengers and assisting them during flights, as well as providing medical service or emergency assistance when necessary, and dealing with any violations of travel document terms on board, particularly regarding breaches of others' privacy or violations of security standards.
The artist Mohamed Ramadan had shared a video showing the two attendants dancing with him to one of his recently released songs while he was headed to "El Gouna." The video brought to mind the incident involving pilot Ashraf Abu el-Yusr, who recently passed away after allowing Mohamed Ramadan into the cockpit, an act that led to Ramadan being subject to the Civil Aviation Authority’s regulations which resulted in the revocation of his private pilot license for life and the suspension of his co-pilot's license for a full year.
