Facebook has introduced a group messaging service between two of its main applications, "Messenger" and "Instagram," aimed at helping people connect. The company announced the new feature that will allow users of "Messenger" and "Instagram" to create joint group chats.
In a post published by one of the company’s affiliated websites, it was stated, "Our goal with this new service is to help people connect even if they are far apart, so we are excited to share the new group messaging feature with friends and family."
With the new service, according to Facebook, Instagram users will be able to create group messages that include Messenger users and vice versa, provided that the participants in the chat belong to specific groups established by the user, such as work groups, family, or groups related to particular topics and interests.
This service also offers features that help users conduct polls via "Instagram," in addition to being equipped with good emoji options, and a special indicator that allows users to see who is currently typing in the group chat.
The new feature follows the success Facebook experienced when it allowed "Messenger" and "Instagram" users to create a unified account for personal messaging, with 70% of users transitioning to experience this feature at that time.
