The channel "Al-Saa 24" noted that sounds of gunfire and armed clashes were heard near the road to Tripoli Airport. Earlier, the Libyan newspaper "Al-Marsad" indicated that clashes occurred on the Tripoli Airport road between armed groups affiliated with the defense and interior ministries, leading to deaths and injuries. Libyan sources informed Al-Arabiya that the 444 Brigade in Tripoli intervened to disperse the clashes on the airport road, which remains closed due to the ongoing fighting.
Tripoli witnessed extreme chaos on Friday, as hundreds of undocumented migrants managed to escape from a detention center in the Libyan capital, driven by poor living conditions and inhumane circumstances. Photos and videos captured the moment migrants fled from the detention center in the Ghot Al-Shal neighborhood, spreading across the streets and neighborhoods of Tripoli. The footage also showed some injured migrants, suggesting they had been shot, creating panic among the residents of Tripoli amid the complete absence of security forces. Meanwhile, the International Organization for Migration announced on Friday that at least five migrants had been killed in gunfire at a detention center in Libya.
