On Saturday, the Syrian news agency "SANA" announced that the air defenses of the army intercepted missiles launched at regions in rural Damascus. SANA reported a statement from a military source stating: "The air defenses of the Syrian Arab Army responded to an Israeli aggression targeting areas in rural Damascus." The statement added: "Around 11:17 AM today, the (Israeli enemy) launched a barrage of ground-to-ground missiles from the direction of northern Palestine, targeting some points in rural Damascus, and our air defense systems intercepted the hostile missiles, shooting down some of them." The statement continued: "The aggression resulted in injuries to two soldiers and some material losses."
