Saudi Foreign Minister Stresses Seriousness of Talks with Iran

The "Financial Times" reported that Saudi Arabia is "serious" about talks with Iran. Saudi Foreign Minister Prince Faisal bin Farhan stated that discussions with Iran have been "friendly," while describing negotiations as "exploratory." The Saudi minister told the newspaper in an interview, "We are serious about the talks... it's not a big shift for us; we have always said we want to find a way to achieve stability in the region." Earlier, Iranian Foreign Minister Hossein Amir-Abdollahian praised the dialogue initiated between his country and Saudi Arabia, highlighting the significance of the two countries' roles in the region. Abdollahian remarked that the dialogue between Iran and Saudi Arabia is "constructive and moving in the right direction, benefiting both countries and the region as a whole."
