Adel bin Abdulrahman Al-Asoomi, President of the Arab Parliament, congratulated the United Arab Emirates, both its leadership and its people, on winning membership in the UN Human Rights Council for the term 2022-2024. He regarded this well-deserved victory as a new achievement added to the UAE's record in the field of human rights at all levels—Arab, regional, and international.
Al-Asoomi added that the UAE's victory is a culmination of its exceptional accomplishments in promoting and protecting human rights and positively engaging with the best international practices in this regard, under the leadership of His Highness Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan, President of the State, may God protect him, and the efforts of His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President of the State, Prime Minister, and Ruler of Dubai, may God bless him, and His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and Deputy Supreme Commander of the Armed Forces.
Al-Asoomi wished the United Arab Emirates success in fulfilling this mission for the benefit of our Arab nations.
