Syrian Observatory: Strikes Target Two Positions of Regime Forces and Allies in Quneitra

The Syrian Observatory for Human Rights announced late Sunday into Monday that an aircraft targeted two military centers belonging to the Syrian regime and its allies in Quneitra province in the southwestern part of the country. The observatory reported that the strikes occurred at the outskirts of the town of Al-Baath and the village of Al-Kuroum, causing material losses, and that there is currently no information regarding human casualties. The observatory indicated that the aircraft was "Israeli," while Israel has not issued any official comment. Israel rarely confirms carrying out strikes in Syria, yet it reiterates that it will continue to confront what it describes as Iran's attempts to entrench its military presence in Syria. Over the past years, Israel has carried out dozens of strikes in Syria, targeting Syrian army sites and Iranian and Hezbollah positions. Syria has been experiencing a bloody conflict since 2011, which has resulted in the deaths of around half a million people, massive destruction of infrastructure, and the displacement of millions of residents both within and outside the country.
