Stabbings in Attack on Train in Germany

Several passengers were injured in a knife attack that occurred inside a train in Bavaria, southern Germany, on Saturday morning, according to federal police. A police spokesperson told public broadcasting that "the motives for the attack are not clear yet." Security sources indicated that the train involved in the attack stopped near the town of Seubersdorf, in the Palatinate region of Bavaria. A spokesperson for German Railways confirmed that the line between Regensburg and Nuremberg has been closed since the incident on Saturday morning. The spokesperson for Deutsche Bahn added, "At this time, trains are halted in suitable areas."
