Zambia's state-owned electricity company reported a nationwide power outage on Saturday for an unknown reason. The company stated that it is working to resolve the issue. Zesco spokesman John Kunda said, "The power outage is nationwide due to a fault whose cause is still unclear, and the company is working to restart the main power sources and stabilize the system." He estimated that electricity would be restored within 6 to 8 hours. Zambia experienced a significant power outage last month that affected most parts of the country due to a fault at a key hydroelectric power station.
