Israeli Prime Minister Naftali Bennett made a phone call on Thursday to Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan after Turkey released an Israeli couple who were arrested on suspicion of espionage for photographing Erdogan's residence in Istanbul. Bennett's office stated that he thanked Erdogan for his help in securing the couple's release. According to Bennett's office, this is the first such communication between an Israeli Prime Minister and the Turkish President since 2013.
