Iraq works to repatriate its citizens "voluntarily" from Belarus

Iraqi Foreign Ministry spokesman Ahmed al-Sahaf announced that Iraq will repatriate Iraqi migrants wishing to return to their country from Belarus in the coming days, affirming: "We are still documenting the names of those wishing to return voluntarily." He clarified that the Iraqi embassy in Moscow "has begun registering those wishing to return voluntarily to Iraq" in a move that comes in preparation for "the completion of the numbers for a flight that will depart from Minsk to Iraq in the coming days." He also confirmed that Iraq "is fully prepared to carry out more than one flight to provide an urgent response for anyone who wishes to return voluntarily."
