Terrorist Killed and Explosive Belt Disarmed North of Baghdad

The Baghdad Operations Command announced on Tuesday the killing of a "terrorist wearing an explosive belt" in the Tarmiyah area north of the Iraqi capital. A statement published by the Security Media Cell on its Twitter account stated that the operation was carried out "with high-level intelligence coordination, alongside the Baghdad Operations Intelligence and the National Security Apparatus." It clarified that "based on accurate information, a joint force from the Intelligence of the 59th Brigade of the 6th Infantry Division, a detachment from the National Security (Northern Baghdad Office), and the Popular Mobilization Forces (Tarmiyah) [...] was able to kill a terrorist wearing an explosive belt." According to the cell, the operation took place in the "Tarmiyah area (Bustan al-Akili) north of Baghdad, after tracking the movements of the terrorist." The statement confirmed that the explosive belt was disarmed.
