Jordanian media reported a shocking incident involving a 28-year-old woman who was burned with oil by her husband after 15 years of marriage. The victim, Islam, who still does not know the reason for her burning, recounted that her husband pulled her by the hair in front of their three children and forced her face into the boiling oil. When she attempted to escape, he poured the boiling oil over her body, according to the Jordan News website.
Islam explained, "I went out with my husband to my family's house to have a good time. When we returned, there was nothing wrong between us. I woke up in the morning to find him peeling potatoes. I asked him if he was hungry and said I would make him food, but I wondered why the pot was so hot." She confirmed that her husband had placed a large frying pan on the stove, and when she replaced it with a smaller one to prepare breakfast, he grabbed her by the hair and pulled her to put her face in the boiling oil, but she managed to escape.
Islam added that her husband quickly poured the boiling oil on her body and burned her, stating, "I still don’t know why he did this, there was nothing wrong between us." Her mother said that Islam and her husband had dinner at her house and stayed until three in the morning, without the husband indicating any problems with Islam. In the morning, Islam called her father saying, "Mom, help me, I am burned."
