Joanna Zhou, a 25-year-old, became a millionaire after winning a cash prize of one million dollars, offered by a campaign encouraging COVID-19 vaccinations in Australia. Joanna's win was announced on Sunday as part of the "Million Dollar Vax" campaign.
According to Australian network "9 News," Joanna stated that she plans to use part of her winnings to reunite her family, saying, "I want to bring my family from China to live with me in Sydney. I will stay in a luxury hotel and buy some gifts for my family, and I will invest the rest so that I can earn more in the future and be able to help those in need."
Regarding her reaction upon learning about her win, Joanna said, "I couldn't answer the call informing me of my win because I was at work. I called them back and received the happy news."
A total of 2,744,974 Australians entered the draw for the prize, which contributed to raising the country's vaccination rate from 78.5% to 88.3% during the last month of October.
