King Mohammed VI: The Moroccan Sovereignty over the Sahara is an Undisputable Fact

Moroccan King Mohammed VI stated today, Saturday, that the Moroccan sovereignty over the Sahara is an undisputable fact. In his speech commemorating the Green March anniversary, King Mohammed VI emphasized that the Moroccan sovereignty over the Sahara is a steadfast truth "by virtue of history and legitimacy, the will of its people, and international recognition."

He added: "We take pride in the sovereign decision of the United States, which recognized Morocco's full sovereignty over its Sahara. This is a natural outcome of the continuous support from previous American administrations and their constructive role in resolving this issue."

He continued: "The opening of over 24 consulates by various countries in the cities of Laayoune and Dakhla confirms the broad support for the Moroccan position, especially within our Arab and African spheres."

The Moroccan monarch noted: "It is our right today to expect bolder and clearer positions from our partners regarding the issue of the territorial unity of the kingdom."

He clarified that "Morocco does not negotiate over its Sahara... This issue has never been and will never be on the negotiation table; we negotiate to find a peaceful solution to this fabricated regional dispute."

He emphasized: "We say to those with ambiguous and dual positions that Morocco will not engage in any economic or trade steps with them that do not include the Moroccan Sahara."
