Experts from SentinelLabs have warned of software vulnerabilities that could threaten the data security of millions of Dell computers sold across various countries. The experts indicated that they discovered five vulnerabilities described as highly critical in the software update program specific to Dell computers. They noted that the mentioned update program exists in hundreds of millions of Dell computers released worldwide since 2009. According to the experts, the vulnerabilities coded as "CVE-2021-21551" could be exploited to gain access to the core of computer operating systems and their data, or to obtain permissions to control these systems remotely. SentinelLabs mentioned that they have informed Dell about the discovered vulnerabilities, and the latter is working to address the issue through software updates. Additionally, warning messages are being sent to users and organizations that may be affected by this, according to the website "rt." Dell is one of the world's most well-known brands, selling millions of laptops, desktops, and server systems annually to both consumers and businesses.
