Egypt: Man Beheads Another and Walks with the Head in the Street

The Egyptian Ministry of Interior managed to arrest an individual who beheaded a worker and severed his head from his body in one of the streets of Ismailia. The Ministry stated in a press release that it apprehended a "psychologically unstable" person in Ismailia (who had previously been held in a rehabilitation facility for addiction treatment) who attacked the worker with a cleaver, resulting in his head being severed while he was uttering incomprehensible words.

Further investigation revealed that the suspect worked at a furniture store belonging to the brother of the victim. The accused had killed a citizen on Tanta Street in Ismailia, severed his head using a cleaver, and carried it while walking in a public street, causing panic and terror among the citizens.

Police forces arrived at the crime scene, closed off the roads leading to the street, deployed personnel at the site, and prevented citizens from disturbing the crime scene until the public prosecution team arrived to examine the crime evidence as required.
