An explosion of a pipe in the home of a couple in Alberta, Canada, resulted in the discovery of a ring that had been missing for 25 years. While Rob and Shannon Pappie were visiting relatives who had moved to the Medicine Hat neighborhood in Alberta, they noticed a leak in one of the pipes. According to Rob, he and the homeowner examined the cause of the leak, but an explosion in one of the pipes occurred unexpectedly.
Rob told UPI: "I looked inside the pipe and saw a ring. I grabbed a screwdriver and picked it up." The ring that was found is a 10-karat gold ring, belonging to the grandson of the homeowners, who had lived there years ago. The homeowners recognized the lost ring, as the wife of their grandson had misplaced it after their engagement and had posted pictures of it in a family WhatsApp group.
