From Facebook to the Street: A Brawl Ends in a Crime

A brawl in the village of Zawiyat Ghazal, belonging to Damanhour in Egypt's Delta, escalated from Facebook to the street, resulting in a horrific murder. In detail, a young man was killed by his neighbor, who stabbed him in the neck with a glass bottle on Friday, following some verbal altercations between them on the social media platform Facebook, which developed into a street fight. The security forces in the Buhaira Security Directorate received a report from the residents of Zawiyat Ghazal about finding a young man's body lying in the street. Upon investigation, it was found that the body belonged to a person named "Mahmoud Abd el-Dayem", 24 years old. The body was transferred to the mortuary of Damanhour General Hospital under the supervision of the public prosecution, and the security forces managed to arrest the suspect.
