Kuwait: Public Prosecution Orders Detention of 18 Defendants in Hezbollah Funding Case for 21 Days

The Kuwaiti newspaper Al-Qabas reported, citing an informed source, that the Kuwaiti public prosecution has decided to detain 18 defendants in the Hezbollah funding case for 21 days, placing them in central prison pending investigation. The source noted that the defendants are expected to appear today before the detention renewal judge, in accordance with the legal time they have been held, which requires their presentation to the renewal judge. The source added that the prosecution is still investigating the case, and it is expected to be referred to the criminal court soon.
