An Italian man spent nearly a quarter of a century searching for his missing brother, but when he finally found him, he was taken by surprise by a sudden attack. According to the British newspaper "The Times," Martin Rabansar (35) spent 24 years of his life looking for his brother Ivo, who is 42 years old. However, upon locating his missing brother, the most horrific thing happened: Ivo stabbed Martin multiple times in the chest, causing serious injuries that required him to be hospitalized.
Martin was sleeping in his bed with his wife when Ivo broke into their home, carrying a large knife. Martin's lawyer told reporters that one theory suggests Ivo was angry about the distribution of their late father's inheritance, including the house where Martin lives. He added that the missing brother had held a grudge against Martin regarding this since his disappearance in 1997, following their father's death.
The lawyer pointed out that most people who are dissatisfied with inheritance distribution handle the issue through lawyers and do not disappear for two decades only to wield a hunting knife. According to the lawyer, Ivo had been staying in a forest near his brother's home, preparing to attack. He stated that Ivo entered the house armed with two large knives while Martin, his wife, and their two children were inside.
After waking Martin, Ivo began to stab him repeatedly, but did not reach the point of killing him. The lawyer noted that the attacking brother used pepper spray against Martin's wife, but she managed to escape his grasp and report the incident to the police. The brothers had not seen each other for 24 years following their father's death in the Silva di Val area of the Italian Alps. Martin led family appeals for many years in search of the missing son, but without success.
