# Saudi Arabia Approves Security Plan for Hajj Pilgrimage

Prince Abdulaziz bin Saud bin Nayef bin Abdulaziz, the Minister of Interior of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and Chairman of the Supreme Hajj Committee, has approved the general security plan for the tasks and responsibilities of public security for this year's Hajj season 1442 AH, in accordance with the precautionary measures and preventive steps taken to combat the COVID-19 pandemic.

The Saudi Press Agency (SPA) quoted the Director of Saudi Public Security, Lt. Gen. Khalid bin Qarar Al-Harbi, stating that the plan is in execution of the directives of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud and His Royal Highness Prince Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdulaziz, the Crown Prince, Deputy Prime Minister, and Minister of Defense of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. He emphasized their ongoing efforts to ensure the security and safety of the pilgrims at the Sacred House of God, while also considering security, organizational, traffic, and humanitarian aspects. This aims to fulfill the directives and aspirations of the Kingdom's leadership to mobilize all resources to enable the pilgrims to perform their rituals and acts of worship safely and comfortably.
