The Speaker of the Syrian People's Assembly, Hammoudeh Sabbagh, announced on Thursday evening the victory of Syrian President Bashar al-Assad in the position of President of the Syrian Arab Republic for a fourth term, after obtaining an absolute majority of the voters' voices with 95.1% of the valid votes.
