The television channel "La Sexta" reported that a massive explosion was heard in central Madrid without providing further details. Activists shared videos on social media claiming they were from the explosion site. Two witnesses told Reuters that they heard a loud explosion and saw a column of smoke rising into the sky in the area after the blast.
