The Saudi capital is preparing to launch Riyadh Season 2021, under the slogan "Imagine More," on October 20, covering an area of 5.4 million square meters. In this regard, the Chairman of the General Entertainment Authority, Turki Al Sheikh, revealed impressive surprises that the Kingdom will host for the first time. He also shared a 5-minute explanatory video of the events on his Twitter account, showcasing 14 entertainment areas in Riyadh, over 7,500 events, a 3-kilometer walkway, more than 200 restaurants, cafes, and shops, 4 theaters, a world-class arena, 500 electronic games, and 9 global studios.
Additionally, there will be a golf course, 12 paddle tennis courts, and the first and largest mobile sky loop in the world, with a capacity exceeding 40%. The video also explained that poetry evenings will take place, alongside a special exhibition for poetry and poetry performances, in addition to a combat experience in 5 eras, military tank rides, live ammunition shooting, and 15 interactive shooting ranges.
The season will present the experience of a giant tree, an area to interact with pets, safari trips, as well as the Riyadh Games Festival, the Saudi Anime Festival, an electronic games exhibition, a perfume exhibition, a jewelry exhibition, a car exhibition, and many artistic and musical performances.
For the first time in Saudi Arabia, 7 international restaurants and 3 international cafes will participate in the season, along with musical concerts and popular entertainment shows. A global hotel with a capacity of 100 rooms, a luxury cinema with 7 screens, and 23 stores of the finest global brands will also be included.
Al Sheikh previously confirmed that "the ticket prices for the events and activities of Riyadh Season are competitive, with a difference of up to 40% compared to the region and other countries around the world, in addition to the presence of 4 free entry areas." He clarified that "concerts do not exceed 2% of the total events of the season," noting "the allocation of many areas and theaters to discover and develop Saudi talents."
He also shared on Twitter an announcement for Riyadh Season 2021 featuring Messi alongside Brazilian Neymar and French Kylian Mbappé. Their participation will not be limited to the promotional announcement but will precede their involvement in an unprecedented exhibition football match in the capital. Al Sheikh previously announced a friendly match between the stars of Al Hilal and Al Nassr against Paris Saint-Germain in a major surprise for Saudi fans.
