His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President, Prime Minister, and Ruler of Dubai, fulfilled the wish of Emirati girl Taqa Abdullah Al Hamadi (nine years old) by meeting her at Expo 2020 Dubai, just three days after a video surfaced in which she expressed her heartfelt desire while crying. He shared a photo on Twitter during their meeting, commenting, "The best personal meeting I've had at Expo so far."
The details of the "wish video" go back to last Wednesday, after Taqa watched a video filmed by her sister Huda during a visit to Expo, where Sheikh Mohammed appeared while touring the exhibition. Taqa insisted to her mother very earnestly, while returning from school, to go to Expo in hopes of meeting Sheikh Mohammed, saying, "Let's go to Expo, Mom, please take me. I'll do anything. I will study, but please take me to him. Every time someone goes to Expo, I tell them to take me there; maybe the Sheikh will be there."
For Taqa, meeting Sheikh Mohammed was a huge surprise, as she was unaware of the details of the meeting, attended by her father and sister. After she ran into her mother's arms, she repeated, "My dream has come true, Mom."
It is worth mentioning that Taqa is an outstanding fourth-grade student at Sharjah Model School, with two sisters and a brother, and she dreams of becoming an astronaut in the future to contribute to the nation's aspirations in this field.
Taqa's mother expressed her immense joy over the "amazing surprise," adding, "Our leaders fulfill the dreams of both young and old alike." She stated that "Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum is a leader who appreciates everyone and understands the importance of instilling joy and happiness in everyone’s hearts... He is an inspiring leader rarely found in history."
