Social media users across the Arab world have shared horrifying videos from inside a car, captured by Saudi athlete Mahdi Al-San himself, during the moment his vehicle flipped 14 times. He was holding onto the roof of the car while fastening his seat belts.
The Riyadh Roads account, which focuses on car news and sports, posted the shocking videos on Twitter with the title: "His vehicle flipped 14 times... a horrific accident involving a young man in Al-Zulfi desert during preparations for an international event. Thankfully, the driver did not suffer serious injuries due to the safety systems in the vehicle."
In a subsequent video, the Saudi young man explained that the cause of the accident while practicing "drifting" before an international event was a stuck gas pedal, noting that he sustained bruises but was not seriously harmed.
