Man Seeks Saw to Hide a Body, Reports Neighbors

A man reported his criminal neighbors after they asked him for a saw to hide a body. The first man was charged with murder, and the second was charged with complicity, on Tuesday in southeastern France.

The newspaper "Dauphiné Libéré" reported that the three men had been drinking alcohol and got into a fight on Saturday night. The victim, aged 54, suffered multiple stab wounds. The judge, who opened a murder investigation, noted that the apartment tenant had been harboring the victim, who was somewhat homeless.

The two men approached the neighbor around 10 PM on Sunday in an attempt to dispose of the body, which was found wrapped in adhesive plastic tape. The police arrested the tenant and a friend who was with him at the time of the crime on Sunday evening. Public prosecutor in Bourgoin-Jallieu, Delphine Baudoin, confirmed to "Dauphiné Libéré" that a man in the Tur du Bans area (Isère department) received a "sudden request from his neighbors who wanted a saw to hide a body" on Sunday evening.

The first man (34 years old) was charged with murder and jailed, while his friend (50 years old) was charged with complicity and placed under judicial supervision.
