Tragic Event: Death of Arab Football Player Before Match

On Wednesday, the Omani news agency reported that Muscat Club player, Makhlad Al-Ruqadi, died after collapsing shortly before a match in the local league. In a tweet, it was stated that Al-Ruqadi passed away in the hospital he was taken to after collapsing during warm-ups before his team's match against Al-Suwaiq, according to Sky News. The match was part of the sixth round of the OmanTel local football league. Makhlad Al-Ruqadi, of Omani nationality, died at the age of 29 and was a defender for both Muscat and Fanja clubs. He was also a player for the Omani national team.
