The Taliban, which has returned to power in Afghanistan, confirmed that Qatar's Foreign Minister Mohammed bin Abdulrahman Al Thani arrived today, Sunday, in Kabul on an official visit. The Taliban stated on their official "Islamic Emirate" account on Twitter that the Qatari minister is meeting with their officials at the presidential palace in Kabul. Qatari channel Al Jazeera reported that Al Thani met in Kabul with the head of the interim government announced by the Taliban recently, Mullah Mohammed Hasan Akhund, former President Hamid Karzai, and the head of the High Council for National Reconciliation, Abdullah Abdullah.
