GCC Secretary-General: No Solution to Iran's Nuclear File Without Involving Gulf States in Negotiations

The Secretary-General of the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC), Nayef al-Hajraf, affirmed that a solution regarding the Iranian nuclear file cannot be achieved without involving the Gulf Arab states in the Vienna negotiations. Al-Hajraf told "Sky News Arabia": "The negotiations with Iran must include its missile programs and its behavior in the region." He emphasized that "we do not accept any encroachments on the member states of the council from Lebanese parties seeking to gain local political benefits."

Previously, Al-Hajraf expressed his complete rejection of the statements made by Lebanese Minister of Information George Kordahi regarding the Yemeni crisis, stating that they reflect a limited understanding and a superficial reading of the events in Yemen. He condemned the Lebanese Minister of Information's defense of the Houthi insurgent group while ignoring the Houthis' intransigence against all international efforts aimed at ending the Yemeni crisis, and while the Houthi group targets Saudi Arabia with missiles and drones, it does the same to the unarmed Yemeni people and prevents humanitarian aid from reaching the afflicted areas.
