The Egyptian Professional Football Clubs Association, affiliated with the Football Federation, has decided to ban 349 fans of Al-Ahly from attending two matches. The association stated on its official Facebook page that the fans included in the decision "sang songs during the playing of the national anthem in the Ghazl El Mahalla vs. Al-Ahly match."
In a statement, the association mentioned: "After reviewing the tape of the match in the fifth round of the league, it was observed that the Al-Ahly fans present at the Ghazl El Mahalla stadium were singing and chanting during the national anthem."
They added, "In light of this, the competitions management of the Professional Clubs Association obtained the number and details of the Al-Ahly fans (349 fans) from Ticketing Company and decided to ban them from attending two matches while issuing a warning to them and all club fans that if such conduct occurs again, the fan will be banned from attending matches until the end of the season."
Al-Ahly successfully overcame its hosting hurdle against Ghazl El Mahalla with a score of three to two in the final minutes of the challenging match held on Monday.
